"Olly's ability to understand a client and their market led to massive growth in both advertiser and reader revenues at Classic Boat Magazine"
Well we needed to look at our differences and location:
Then our personality:
and finally find a domain name that was available both for a website and a Limited Company (preferably .com)
Our first choice name wasn't available but Sou'West was. This worked on many levels:
It is a wind Barb. This is an internationally understood way to communicate wind strength and direction on a weather map.
In our case it suggests wind of force three with gusts up to force three, from the south west - WILD Conditions but not so wild that you would stay at home!
Having grown up in a Radio 4 household and hearing the shipping forecast it suddenly all fitted.
The logo is clean, simple, memorable and can be used for Print, Digital and Embroidery.
Dark Blue - Brand - The deepest ocean. Bold strong and moody
Coral Pink - Accent - A nod to our Caribbean Digital Marketing Office and a nice contrast against the darker colour ways
Sea Green - Background/Overlay - Where we love to be. Not so bright that it couldn't be the south west of England (on a really good day) and not so dark that it couldn't be Barbados.
A very light "putty" Grey - Text - With the darker background and brand colours we needed to go light here
Sou'West treats understanding a client's business and their sector as the fundamental backbone from which we work.
Of course, we will never understand it as well as you do but our work is all built on understanding.
We are not a one size fits all Marketing Agency, instead we prefer to engage in meaningful conversations with our clients.
We are not a large marketing agency and run a tight ship, meaning that our clients are not paying for a bloated big agency.
While much of the work is carried out in-house, Sou'West Marketing has a network of partners and suppliers that we chose from depending on the project.
We have learnt that, regardless of who does the work, the most important driver is a clear brief and ensuring that the work meets it.
Things will change in your business or the wider market and we want to be the partner that changes course with you.
We don't believe in locking clients into rigid plans but we do ask that major strategy changes are planned in advance, allowing us to dovetail it in with the existing strategy.
This yields better results and a smoother shift in focus.
The best thing about digital marketing is that it can all be measured really accurately.
At the beginning of a project we will agree with you a schedule of regular reporting calls to evidence the progress and value of our work for you.
Think of these as your digital speedometer! This is in our interest too. We want you to know that this is working well for you.
